Ken too was off to an unusual start in the second heat, cresting the first
jump in seventh. Moving into second in moments thereafter, the number 94 had no time to waste. With a fire-breathing KTM nipping at his neck, the German aggres- sively pivoted underneath his European comrade (Chris- tophe Pourcel) and made his way into the lead with two to go. He would reside in the
top position until the final flag waved, taking the heat race win.
