With the point spread being so close, all antics and games seem to be legal between Cooper and Joey Savatgy. Webb stalked Savatgy throughout the practice day, constantly in the Pro Circuit rider’s view; to Cooper’s displeasure however, the strategy didn’t prevail
and Cooper had to take shotgun to the Kawasaki rider heading into the night show.
Is the pressure of the championship mounting? If the result of heat number one was any indication, that very well may be the case. As the competitors shifted to second and focused on the glistening metal pad in front of them, three Yamaha riders winced, and jumped into the gate prior to it descending; one of them being Cooper Webb. Charging from the tail end of the field, Cooper clawed his way to the sixth position, where he would finish; hoping to forget about the trials and tribulations he’d experienced throughout the day.
