The red background of Savatgy seemed to attract Cooper Webb, beginning during the qualifying sessions. Savatgy couldn’t shake the Yamaha rider throughout the afternoon, but gained a slight bit of mental edge by posting the fastest time in the division.
Savatgy sprinted once the pin fell, pulling the holeshot, and meaning business, proving to his competitors that he’s remaining focused on him- self. Hitting his selected marks, he began to creep away inch by inch over Geico Honda’s Christian Craig. Joey would execute a near perfect plan, taking the win, and obtaining an extraordinary gate position for the main event.
