The Kawasaki 450 took Wil Hahn for a ride once the gate dropped at Jerry’s world, rocketing to a third place start in heat number two. Falling to fifth by lap two,
Wil saw the white-outfitted MotoConcepts rider of Vince Friese take reign of his position, and force him into sixth. Unfortunately as each lap passed, Wil slowly declined and would lose position. Sixth, to seventh, and eventually ninth, finish-
ing behind his Midwest counterpart, Justin Bogle.
Semi two saw Wil positioned directly next to the doghouse, and join the pack in sixth place across the first timing sensor. With a very competitive roster for this particular race, Hahn found himself battling Texan Andrew Short for the final transfer position throughout the five lap battle royale. Although Wil fought tooth and nail to shift into the top five, he was left on the outside looking in, despite a last corner “Texas T-Bone” effort; he would head to the LCQ.
