The rookie to the 450 class, Marvin Musquin, surprised us all tonight with his performance. Getting a good start in his heat Musquin jumps into battle with Blake Bagget for the third place spot. Shortly after Bagget goes down and Musquin gets the third place spot. He then passes Friese with two to go for a second place heat race finish. Having his best night of the year, Musquin was looking strong on his Red Bull KTM 450 going into the main event. The gate dropped and off was Musquin right behind his teammate Ryan Dungey sitting in the top spots.
