The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider Zach Osbourne was ready to put his machine on the top step at Oakland, qualifying into the night as the second fastest. Getting a bad jump off the start of his heat race, he was a few places back from a good gate pick spot. Not long into the race he makes contact with Chris Alldredge causing him to stall his bike and fight with the electric start. It was not the first time we’ve seen Osbourne struggle to get his bike back started during a race. Now back to twelfth he has to fight his way into the trans- fer position. Battling for the last main event position on the last lap Osbourne manages to pass three riders, finishing seventh. Onto the main event he gets a stellar start placing him in third. Having some problems around lap four he fell back to thirteenth.
