Making the switch from the Cycle Trader Yamaha team to
the Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha team, high expectations were set for Alex Martin. The season has not gone exactly
as planned and unfortunately, Round 4 in Oakland California would be worse yet. The night started off fantastic. Working his way from a mid pack start in the heat race, Martin would work his way passed every rider and almost pass Monster En- ergy Kawasaki’s Joey Savagty for the win. An impressive 2nd place finish showed he was confident and ready to get his first podium of the season. Martin would grab a 4th place start and put himself in a great position for a podium finish.
