Price Reduction
Prices may be reduced using a ratio of 2:1 price to commission. A 2% price reduction results in a 1% commission reduction, shared appropriately between all involved agents. The maximum price reduction at agency level is 10% (with a 5% commission reduction). Further price reductions must be authorized by the factory in writing.
AFTER QUOTE
Commission, Splits, Overage
All printed prices are Distributor Net and carry 10% commission. Standard split is 5% to the Specification Agent, 2.5% to the Location agent and 2.5% to the Distributor agent. Overage is calculated as 75% to the Distributor Agent and 25% to Gammalux and applies only after 10% commission prices have been achieved. Commission and overage are excluded from orders below $1,500, parts orders and samples. Unusual commission and overage splits must be arranged prior to receipt of an order. Errors on quotes, if instructions were not followed, will result in a requirement for a new P.O. or adjustment to commission and overage.
Procedures
1. Clean purchase order received at factory with complete Gammalux item #s, including ceiling system code. Incomplete item #s will delay processing. We do not furnish materials “per plans and specs.”
2. Shop drawing for customer approval sent to rep agency.
- Drawings are created upon receipt of a distributor's P.O. and are required for every order.
- Each page must be signature-approved by installer with dimensions, circuiting, voltage, finish etc. all confirmed before fabrication can begin. Lead times will begin only after all information has been received.
3. If changes are required, previous steps must be repeated with possible requote. 4. Lead time begins after receipt of installer’s signature approval on all drawing pages (with no further changes). 5. At shipment, a slightly more detailed version of the shop drawing will serve as the installation instruction sheet.
Lead Times
Lead times for drawings and production change constantly due to prevailing business circumstances. Contact the factory for current conditions and lead time estimates. Lead time requirements shorter than factory standard, if known, should be coordinated with factory when requesting a quote and prior to submitting a purchase order.

Asymmetrical Wall-Mounted Fixtures and Perimeter Systems
The standard direction of light for an asymmetrical wall-mounted fixture is away from the wall. The purchase order should specify otherwise if required. For wall mounted or recessed perimeter mount systems, the location of the wall must be provided with the purchase order. For suspended or surface mounted patterns, the dimension of the pattern must be called out as Inside Dimension, Outside Dimension or Centerline Dimension with the purchase order. For corners other than 90 degrees, or custom patterns, consult factory.
Shipping Cost
Domestic standard ground shipping is provided at no charge in most cases for orders of $5,000 or more. Shipping cost cannot be accurately identified prior to actual shipment. Single-piece housings of longer than 12’ or odd-shaped assemblies may incur additional shipping costs. For orders less than $5,000 book price, where the overage brings the order total above $5,000; overage will be recalculated to help cover the cost of shipping.
