hard news
                                                          Hardware doesn’t
have to be boring...
GRAPHIC, PRODUCT AND interior design that touches on the hardware channel is being recognised again this year by two separate awards programmes.
First up is the 2020 iteration of the annual Best Awards, the local design community’s peak awards, which includes a handful of plaudits pertinent to the hardware and home improvement channel.
Among the 2020 Finalists is the PlaceMakers Trade App, whose design work was undertaken by Apolinar, led by Jon Beattie and
 Jay Shin (photo top).
Also recognised as a 2020 Finalist is Felton Industries’ Tate tapware range, whose design team was led by Santi Fungtammasan (photo left).
Last but not least is ITM’s newly fitted out and already awarded Support Office, designed by a team at Stack Interiors led by
 Chantal Gaiqui (photo top right).
Good luck to them all, we’ll hear whether they received further
recognition on Friday 13 November.
Turning to retail fitout, on 30 October we can expect to hear
whether one or both of the two relevant entries to the 2020 RED Awards have made it to the top of the tree.
One is the elegant Mitre 10 Tapware program entered by shopfitter GDM Retail Systems (photo middle right), the second is the recent Laminex Showroom designed by Material Creative and shopfitted by Allen & Chapman (photo right bottom).
