Another busy year ahead for Riviera
NOW IN ITS 12th year, having grown from a small Mitre 10 Solutions store in Warkworth with 18 team members to nine different business units and 450+ team members, Riviera Hardware Holdings isn’t taking its foot off the pedal.
Indeed 2021 will be another big year for Riviera, with its big new Whangaparaoa Mitre 10 store and celebrating 10 years of MEGA in Warkworth (photo above).

“Machinery is on the water, the roof is on and the slab poured so we expect to be fully operational late March or early April,” says Riviera MD Cam Caithness.
2020 may have been “a challenging year” but, he adds, “we can certainly sit back and reflect on with satisfaction.
“We have come through far stronger than anticipated and for now, in a much better position than the rest of the planet,” says Cam, adding that supply chain woes and the ongoing threat of Covid “could yet bite us hard”.
Still, as previously reported, Riviera is proceeding with its plan to redevelop The Warehouse’s Whangaparaoa store into a large format Mitre 10 store.
With the Whangaparaoa build starting 1 March and the store opening planned for late Winter or early Spring, consents will allow for the construction of a new garden centre and the inclusion of a Columbus Coffee café.
Hermpac’s new factory

The new facility carries out the
machining of all products while
the original Hermpac Silverdale
site acts as stock holding and
despatch yard and also houses customer service and showroom.
