Miles Nelson’s eco- friendly packaging a “change for good”
Miles Nelson’s popular S Range door handles are now available in eco-friendly packaging.
To reduce on-site waste and with an ongoing desire to supply a packaging solution that does not deplete
the ecosystem, the new S Range packaging design is fully recyclable and compostable and is made from reconstituted pulp.
Using non-toxic printing ink and only water-based dyes, viewing panels are made from PET plastic, which is 100% recyclable in New Zealand and can be recycled up to seven times.
What’s more, the new packaging is suitable for use as a trade box and also coverts nicely into a hang sell option.

Father’s Day Frenzy and the gift of giving
NZ Hardware Journal and a band of generous suppliers got together again last year in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Blue September Appeal.
The intention was for half the products generously donated by the suppliers listed below to go to our chosen charity, while the other half was to be won by a retailer or merchant in the hardware channel.
As it turns out, we delivered all
the products to the Prostate Cancer Foundation pre-Christmas, our retailer winner having generously considered the charity to be a more fitting recipient!
Thanks again to the generous suppliers for their products: Aerofast; Aorangi Merchants; Bosch Power Tools; CE Lawford; Gardena; HPM; Protective Paints; Toolware Sales; and Weiss.
Invercargill is Bunnings’ 8th Trade Centre
BUNNINGS OPENED THE doors to its latest Trade Centre in Invercargill last month.
The new Trade Centre represents an investment of $7 million and has created more than 20 new jobs in the local community.
Spanning approximately 4,000m2,
the new fully undercover Trade Centre features a drive-through, as well as over 20 onsite car parks.
With a strong focus on the trade, the new site will also feature kitchen design kiosks, paint, power tools, safety and PPE departments, site consumables along with a special orders desk where tradies can order products from the wider Bunnings Trade range, including spare parts and custom products.
Trade customers can also access direct-to-site delivery and install services through a Bunnings Trade Account Manager and the PowerPass program.
Run by Bunnings Trade Centre Manager Nathan McKenzie, a Southland local with 15+ years’ experience in trade
supply and relations, Nathan and his team are looking forward to getting to know tradies in the Southland area and helping them with all their project needs, as well as supporting local community groups with product donations and hands-on support.
The new Invercargill Trade Centre is located on the corner of Bill Richardson Drive and Victoria Avenue, Avenel, with drive-through access from Bill Richardson Drive and customer carpark and pedestrian entrance from Victoria Avenue.
