DULUX GROUP NZ welcomes two new additions to their marketing team with Jo Adin joining as Retail Sales & Marketing Manager, and Rebecca Dieudonné joining as the Senior Brand Manager for Dulux Retail.
Jo Adin has been working with the Dulux Group in Australia for 13 years across various brands. Now she brings her expertise back across to her home country in her new role as the Retail Sales & Marketing Manager of Dulux NZ. You might also remember Jo for her time as Product Manager – Hardware at ITW Proline during 2007-2008.
Rebecca Dieudonné comes to Dulux with 10+ years’ experience in brand strategy and advertising. She is passionate about empowering Kiwis to take on a new DIY or renovation challenge in their homes and enjoys building furniture and curating interior design inspiration for future projects. Rebecca’s CV includes roles at Glen Dimplex, DB Breweries, NZME and in cosmetics.

Category Manager
for Kitchens &
Appliances. Liz is
passionate about colour and design, has a strong background in the construction, manufacturing, interior design and kitchen industries and has contributed to articles in NZ Hardware Journal in the past and comes to Mitre 10 after six years in a similar role at PlaceMakers, nine years with Goode Industries and earlier roles with TDC, Joint Cabinet Makers, Fineline Kitchens, and Meltec Industries.
Shane Cornelius, formerly Bunnings NZ’s Business Development Manager, is PlaceMakers’
new GM Ops &
Marketing. Shane takes over from Gary Woodhouse, PlaceMakers’ General Manager Operations & Marketing since 2014, who is the new CEO of franchise
home builder Landmark Homes. Prior to his Bunnings role, Shane’s CV includes almost two years as Executive GM
for The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationary and no less than 15 years as GM Ops for The Warehouse before that.
Neil Cowie left
Mitre 10 NZ in 2019
after five and a half
years as CEO to
head up SolarZero.
More recently, we
see that late last
year Neil has joined another booming industry as CEO of pet care specialists Animates Vetcare NZ.
Rob Croot has left Autex after two decades with the company, most recently as Autex Group CEO. MD and National Sales Manager before that, for the last three years Rob has also been Chairman of the Vodafone Warriors, which is owned by Autex’s Mark Robinson.
Rob says: “I am so grateful for the opportunities and experience, and I’m super proud to leave the business strong, and with a great bunch of people poised to write new chapters in Autex’s story,” adding he’s “super excited for the future and a new challenge.”

than 60 years’ service.
Bob started work
with Charles Palmer & Co on 11 December 1961, since when the company has been bought, sold, renamed, and merged and five years ago was renamed NZ Safety Blackwoods. Asked what kept him with the same company for 60 years, Bob laughs: “It’s the industry, the people, the company values – everything! When you have good managers, someone to talk to with an open- door policy, it makes working a pleasure.” Happy retirement Bob!

Sara Johnson is ITM’s new
General Manager of Marketing & Communications. Sara comes to the role armed with almost a decade of marketing and comms experience, most recently with Mike Pero Mortgages & Mike Pero Real Estate.
In related news, ITM’s National Marketing Manager Juliana Raven is now on parental leave, and we wish Juliana all the best with this “personal project”.

team during the
company’s current
growth phase.
Canterbury born
and bred, in his new role as Southern Region Manager Jayden will lead and grow Build People’s physical presence in the South Island. Jayden has worked in the building industry for the last 10 years and comes armed with experience in sales management, business development, key accounts, territory management and operations.
Mike Stanton, MiTek NZ’s Technical Manager for three and half years until last year, and National Franchise Manager
at Stonewood Homes before that, is the new General Manager at TradeZone NZ, the nationwide distribution network of locally owned and operated stores that supply top quality, high-end specialist tools, components and consumables to New Zealand’s “big industries”, such as engineering, automotive, marine, safety, forestry, and farming.
