On the next worksheet, Cosmos talks about how Stella explained, when you should tell a grown-up. It is important to make sure that the children understand that in most instances, it is better to teach not tattle but in the examples Stella gives, they should always get a grown-up.
This is an example of something to be placed strategically so children will see it. A When should I tell a grown-up poster can be place in a classroom, bedroom and play area. The rules are simple, particularly in the first two situations.
In the third, the most common tattling situation, have them explain the steps that they have taken to avoid having to tattle. If they really have attempted to deal with the situation and not immediately go to the “Tattling Mode,” support them for their efforts and then do whatever is appropriate.

Even though you tattled your behavior is Thumbs Up.
