Page 23 - SB-Black and White Kingdom
P. 23

Like many of the stories I tell, this one is a little complicated. It points out some really important things that can make your life change for the better. In our story, everyone in the Black and White Kingdom was very comfortable with the way things were going.
If something appeared black, that meant one thing and if white, something different. Everything from food to people was either black or white. Once you understood what those colors meant, you figured you knew all you needed to know about that particular food or person.
I am sure that many of you are saying to yourself, “But this is just a story and there is no real Black and White Kingdom.” Unfortunately for many of you reading this story, there really is a Black and White Kingdom and it is between your ears.
You will believe something is true, as in the following: “All green vegetables are nasty;” “All poor people are thieves;” “All dogs want to bite you,” even if there are many exceptions to your belief. A willingness to look at things as they are in reality and not make hasty assumptions about things, situations and people is what the Magic Glasses allowed to happen.
