COSMOS EXPLAINS CANDO CRANES
The fable, Cando Cranes, is a story about dealing with change. As Cosmos Crow says, None of us likes change but change is part of your everyday life. When you are very young and just starting school, your parents may wake you up, help you get dressed and make sure that you have all of your school books.
As you get older, you are supposed to be able to get up by yourself, dress yourself and make sure that you have all of your school books. The same is going to be true in every part of your life. You will have to become more and more responsible for yourself.
But some of you will not like that change. You will still want life to be easy and fun all of the time. You will not like it when others say, It is your fault for not studying, when you make a poor grade. You will want to blame your teacher or the test for being too hard.
You will still want everything to turn out for your benefit without you having to do much to make sure it happens that way. But that is just not going to happen.
