Net Valley
On September 22, 2020, Shekou International School broke ground on our new secondary campus Net Valley. This 13,000 square metre state-of-the-art flexible and repurposed space promotes creativity and collaboration that is student- centered. Net Valley will allow for our secondary programs' continued growth and expand design thinking with authentic project-based learning.
With the much-anticipated move ahead, our community banded together to make the new campus feel like home. Besides bringing our student art collection from Bayside, our art teacher designed a one of-a-kind mural and enlisted Grades 9 and 10 art students to help paint it outside the art classrooms. Student Council (StuCo) created the "Geckos In the Net" student- led campaign to promote excitement and new traditions. Our talented innovation tech coach designed state-of-the-art desks to allow flexibility and storage in the
classroom. Tours were also given to students and parents to help them become familiar with the new campus and build excitement before opening day.
As we say goodbye to our Bayside campus, we are excited for the possibilities and new home Net Valley will bring.
