The Hill of St. Michael
The 145-meter high hill near Glastonbury has
always been covered in mysteries. At the very
top of the hill there is a single tower that
survived after the earthquake in 1274, and at
its foot is a sacred well with water that does
not dry out even in a severe drought. The
monks of the Glastonbury Abbey claimed that
King Arthur's ashes rest here, the pagans
said that the hill and the tower represent a
transition to the other world, and some even
believed that the Holy Grail was hidden there.
