Low Fat Gravy INGREDIENTS
75 grams finely chopped onion
50 grams finely chopped fresh mushrooms
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
470 millilitres reduced-sodium beef or chicken broth 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Pinch black pepper
SERVES: 4
TOTAL TIME: 15 Minutes
INSTRUCTIONS
In a saucepan, cook the onion, mushrooms and parsley in 60 millilitres of the broth until tender.
Next, in a bowl combine the cornstarch, and pepper with 120 millilitres of broth and stir until smooth.
Add to pan with the remaining broth.
Bring to boil, stirring occasionally and allow to boil for 2 minutes.
Serve hot.
