                   at age 71. The cause of his death was Cancer.

                          educated at Kaitaia College and Sacred Heart College Auckland. 1st fifteen  Pat Walsh
                          1951 - 53, Pat Walsh was 19yrs and 106 days old when he played at 2nd Five
                          eighth in the first test against the 1955 Wallabies. Played at fullback in the rest
                          of this series, a position he held for the first two tests against South Africa in 1956. He was replaced
                          by Don Clarke for the third test but returned at centre for the fourth. Walsh toured Australia with the
                          1957 All Blacks, playing on the wing in the two tests. Missed most of the rest of that season with
                          illness. In 1958 he played in all three tests against the Wallabies, the first two at centre and the third
                          on the wing. Gave way to Ralph Caulton for the rest of the series against the 1959 Lions after playing
                          on the wing in the first test. He did not appear again for NZ until named as second five eighth for the
                          second match against England in 1963 and then toured Britain and France where an early knee injury
                          restricted his appearances to 12, mostly as a five eigth. NZ selector 1969 - 71; North Island selector
                          1971; Counties selector 1980 - 82. NZ Maori 1955 -56, 58 -59, 61.
