Happy 2019 fellow angels!
We are so thankful for all of those who have supported us and all those we have the privilege of
serving. 2018 Has come to a close. It was an incredible year for us at the Archangels. Here are some of
the projects and highlights from the last year.
With the intent to build bridges in the community between military, veterans, first responders
and students, we gave out multiple $1,000 scholarships as part of our Serving Those Who Serve Us
Scholarship program. This is a program that is in keeping with the old adage, “A high tide raises all
ships,” as service personnel are blessed to be served and students learn about those who did their part in
ensuring freedom here and abroad.
Another service we took part in was providing over $500 dollars to assist the creation of the
Mesa Veterans Resource Center’s Veterans Reflection Garden. We also donated a beautiful statue of a
Soldier carrying another Soldier for the garden. Additionally, we funded a sign for the garden in
response to a request from the MVRC.
We also provided a $500 grant to The Veterans Directory Designing Your Transformation
summit. This event provided women veterans the opportunity to receive the following training and
support:
Women focused health and wellness information
Networking and branding workshops
Dressing for success and fashion show
Professional coaching access
Technology sessions
Entrepreneurship tools
Photo ops and more
We are so grateful for the opportunity to support the many incredible women veterans through this
event and look forward to future opportunities and projects.
We were also grateful for the opportunity to provide a $500 grant for the second consecutive
year to the Military Police Regimental Association – Grand Canyon Chapter. The grant assisted their
mission in reaching out to military and veterans via a formal military Dining Out.
It was also a great joy to labor shoulder to shoulder with the number of businesses, families, and
individuals who reached out to help as we held our first Archangels Operation Quick Reaction Force
(QRF) 2018. We wished to provide military, veterans, and first responder families with the support
they needed for Christmas. We were able to work with various entities such as the Mesa Police
Department, Save the Family, and others to find good service personnel who needed the assistance.
Financial support was also provided by The Archangels and Paralyzed Veterans of America which
ensured that these good service personnel and their families received what they needed to make the
holidays a tender success. Families requested and received food, clothing, gift cards, and of course
Christmas presents. Our hearts and the families involved were overwhelmed and emotional with
gratitude and kind words as we desired to go above and beyond for each of the families we helped.
Another touching memory this year was supporting the Paralyzed Veterans of America’s efforts
regarding The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of Darkness event in Phoenix. The
event was a tremendous success with thousands of participants and tender moments, from seeing the
