Executive Director’s Report

Hopefully you are all safe and practicing “social distancing”. As
I’ve only left my home to go to a doctor’s appointment and drive my better

half to pick up food and just to get out of the house, I truly enjoy the empty
roads and hate not being the office. While the computer is a great tool, my
cell phone is an attachment I’d prefer to remove.

I would like to congratulate our staff for delivering items such as diapers,
ensure and tube feed to our local food bank. Set up pickups for people in
need of medical equipment. accept deliveries from folks who just couldn’t

wait to drop off those 15+ year old non-working power chairs. (4). We have
also helped members with equipment that needed repair or temporary
replacement. Add to that assisting with delivering supplies to needy

Veterans whose organizations store their goods at our office. Yes we are
talking about you Gabe from the StandDown Alliance Ladies Booth. You
can’t go a day without helping a fellow Veteran and conveniently live 45

               miles from the Chapter!

We all await the final word from National PVA about the sale of our building
and the purchase of our new multi-use facility only about 3 blocks from the

Phoenix VA and the SCI/D Clinic. I have told the staff that I am happy they
are resting up as the move will need to happen ASAP as summer in

Arizona is about a month away. Moving in 100 degrees+; what more can
               you ask for?

The National Veteran’s Wheelchair Games will be in New York City next

summer. We will be posting the chart of points you will receive for Chapter
sponsorship in about two (2) months. Please understand that we expect a
large team; especially after losing this year’s games in Portland.

Stay safe, stay away from others and Good Health to all that read this
