A YEAR OF GREAT BLESSING
The 2017 year has been a year of great blessing for our faith community at First UMC Cary.
In the past year, we have...
• Realigned the Children and Youth Divisions into a Family Ministry Division that seeks to o er a coherent discipleship path from birth through high school.
• O ered Parenting Ministry and studies to provide support and guidance to our families.
• Seen our Music Ministry grow in numbers, in styles, and in performances.
• Trained and equipped our rst class of Congregational Care Ministers who are already
providing signi cant care to our membership through their service.
• Celebrated the success of the Building to Serve campaign (complete with the All Church
Event last March) and moved forward in ful lling the dream of our campus expansion and
renovation.
• Built better and stronger partnerships with our Hispanic brothers and sisters, especially
in our 1st on Chatham community.
All of this—and much more!—is possible because of your faithfulness and continued support of our ministry. We say, “thank you.” Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your partnership in God’s ministry in this good place.
2018 promises to be another year of possibility. We look forward to continuing to expand our missional reach in Cary and beyond. We imagine the new opportunities God calls us into as 2018 will be a year of dreaming “what’s next” for our congregation. We look forward to more people coming to deeper relationships with Jesus Christ through the Spirit’s work and to the empowerment of all of us to be missionaries to our community and world. Our best days are still ahead.
