Note the puddling of blue glaze in folds and crevices of pearlware – separating pearlware from creamware. The blue line is usually more subtle and best seen
with good illumination.
Mocha stone or moss agate, a semiprecious stone imported from the port of Mocha in Arabia. The dendritic pattern of the matrix of the stone inspired the term the English adopted for mochaware.
