RUNNING THE LAB
Refractive Index Liquid 1: nD=1.45 During the labs instruct students that the refractive
(1 Set of 6 Bottles) index of the item being sampled may be inferred
Refractive Index Liquid 2: nD=1.47 from the liquids if it does not match the liquids. For
(1 Set of 6 Bottles) example, if the refractive index of the item does not
Refractive Index Liquid 3: nD=1.49 match a liquid and is determined to be greater than
(1 Set of 6 Bottles) 1.45 and less than 1.47 it may be inferred that the
refractive index is 1.46.
