RUNNING THE LAB
During the handwriting analysis portion, distribute
the three pages of photocopied receipts to each lab
group for analysis.
Included in the set of photocopied receipts
is a labeled receipt set with a corresponding
explanation of several identifiable features
which may be shared with students if difficulty
is experienced with handwriting analysis. This
list of features is not intended to be all inclusive,
however it will identify several noteworthy
features of the handwriting upon the receipts.
It is recommended that this list of features not
be provided to students on paper, but be used, if
necessary, by the instructor to explain the type
of features that students should identify in their
analysis.
During the chromatography portion, distribute two
of the hand-written receipts to each lab group for
ink chromatography. After this section, students
will combine their data on the board and copy the
information from other lab groups so that they may
use the information from all receipts in their final
analysis.
