The coast and sierra region are different by some aspects, for example its culture and

touristic places. First the people of coast and sierra region have different kinds of food,

(For example the coast region is popular because they eat a lot of seafood, but in the
sierra region the people eat rabbit and always eat potatoes. Another detail that is very

important is the clothing. In the coast region the people always wear appropriates
clothes for the hot weather, for example shorts, tops…, on the other hand the people of

sierra region wear jackets sweater and all kinds of clothes for the cold weather.) Second
the touristic place depends of each region. (The coast region is much visited because of

its beaches as Atacames, montañita, Salinas, and others. However, in the sierra region

we have mountains like Chimborazo, Tungurahua…) In conclusion there are some
factors that make each region special in their cultures.
