Recipe 1 – Chapter One






                            Cooking Confessions – My Love Affair With Milk & Honey – Chapter One


                                                     Chef Sammy’s

                                              Waterless Grits


                                                     Ingredients

                                       2 1/2 Cups Fat‐Free Low‐Sodium Chicken Broth
                                    1 1/3 Cups Milk 1 Cup Quaker 5 Minutes Quick Grits
                                              1 Cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
                                         8 Slices Yellow Or White American Cheese
                                                 1/3 Stick Of Salted Butter

                                                  How To Make It


                                                         Step 1

                          Combine first 4 ingredients in a 4‐quart saucepan. Bring to a boil; partially
                              cover, reduce heat, and simmer 8 minutes or until thick, stirring
                                                       occasionally.

                                                         Step 2
                             Add butter and cheese to pan, stirring until butter and cheese melt.


                                             Food Tip Of The Week


                            Start with HOT pans: Instead of putting a cold pan on the stove, then
                          adding oil, turning on the head and waiting for it to get warm, start with
                                                an empty pan on the stove.

                            The pan will get warmer as you prep your ingredients, making it the
                                   perfect temperature for your food (and cooks faster!)
