The building also capitalizes on another now-standard design consideration for ZNE buildings: the use of large, slow-moving ceiling fans to create a tangible sense of air movement at all times in the space. Studies confirm that occupants feel comfortable at a wider temperature setpoint range if there is perceptible air movement in the space. The large ceiling fans have been em- ployed in the DPR Office space and the experience seems to confirm the study findings.
