Cocoa Beats!
This activity is OFF SITE
On day one, you will visit Cadbury World to discover the origins of the cocoa
bean and its journey to Europe in the 16th century. Learn the history behind the
creation of the Cadbury factory and Bournville village by the Cadbury brothers.
Explore how Cadbury manufacture popular products and learn about 100 years of
innovative advertising and packaging design. Watch our chocolatiers work their
magic, as they reveal the ingredients and making of chocolate. Enjoy an
adventurous journey in our 4D cinema experience, complete with motion seats!
Day two is into London to see a multi-award winning show which has a universal
language of rhythm, theatre, comedy and dance. Stomp features eight performers
that use everything, from Zippo lighters, plastic bags, bin lids and even the kitchen
sink, to hammer out an explosively feel good rhythm. STOMP!
Cost £50 for both days activities, Pupil Premium students will need to pay
£25
Places for 40 students
On the Wednesday; 8.10am to 4.00pm (leaving from school)
On the Thursday; 11.30am by tube from Hillingdon Station and returning
to school by coach at 7pm
Packed lunch required for both days
Lots of sun screen (hopefully the weather will be good!)
You will also need a hat, a waterproof jacket, comfy footwear
A love of chocolate and sense of rhythm!
