In school teachers regularly ask us us us to to identify the the the the things that that cause us us us the the the the the most stress stress with the the the the the hopes that that we we will be able to to to make the the the the the necessary changes to to reduce the the the the the amounts of of stress stress we we we experience Students’ an- swers usually never stray far from the the expected school work lack of of sleep and/ or or or maintaining a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a social life Typically my my response would mirror my my classmates’ answers but with school out and and everyone in in in in in quarantine the sources of my my stress stress should be gone So why do do I I feel feel more stressed than ever? Why do do I I I feel feel like there is is a a a a a a a weight on on on my my chest that is is only getting heavier? Simply put it’s because I’m Black in America For the past two months videos and stories of cops murdering Black Black people have crowded my social media feed I can’t even begin to to explain the the the mix of anger sadness and frustration among other other emotions that overcomes me me me when I see yet another black life become a a a a a a a a a a a a a hashtag
