“Water” is an important factor in moving
forward the development of the nation according
to the 20-year National Strategy B.E. 2561 - 2580
(2018 - 2037) towards the goal of achieving
“Security, Prosperity and Sustainability”.
This includes strengthening security, building
competitiveness, developing and promoting
human capacity, building opportunities and
equality, environmentally-friendly growth
for sustainable development and tuning for
balance and development of the government
administrative system.
In the past, the government has always
prioritized the importance of water management,
allocating a large budget to solve the problem and
identify new water sources. However, the problem
could not be solved in a sustainable manner
because there was no central coordinating agency
to oversee the problem for genuine integration
between agencies.
