1.2 WHAT ARE ADVERBS
Adverbs modify a verb, an adjective, another adverb, a phrase or a
clause. The implementation of adverbs may indicate time, manner,
place, cause or degree. They also answer WH- questions such as
how, when, where, how much and how often.
Adverbs of Place : states ‘where’ something happens.
Adverbs of Time : states ‘when’ something happens.
Adverbs of Degree : states ‘how much’ or to ‘what degree’.
Adverbs of Frequency : states ‘how often’ something happens.
Adverbs of Manner : states ‘how’ something happens.
