1.6 CLASSROOM ACTIVITY:






               Materials needed:


                      Whiteboard

                      Marker

                      Timer


                Instructions:



                   •  Begin  the  activity  with  brainstorming  some  comparative  and

                       superlative adjectives and list them on the board.



                   •  Then, pick a topic which has many nouns, for  instance, animals.

                       Divide the students into groups.



                   •  For the first round, students will be asked to write a comparative

                       sentence  on  the  board  comparing  two  animals.  For  example,

                       ‘Elephants are bigger than cats’.



                   •  For  the  second  round,  the  students  have  to  make  superlative

                       sentences on the board comparing a group of animals. The rounds

                       would continue and alternate between comparative and superlative

                       sentences until the teacher asks to stop.
