THE GENERAL PRACTICE AWARDS 2018
The General Practice Awards celebrate the very best examples of innovation, dedication, and leadership taking place in primary care across the Country.
We are very proud to announce that Abbeyview Surgery has been selected as a national finalist in TWO categories: The Collaboration with Patients and Other Providers Award and the Respiratory Care Award.
The Practice team will be attending an awards evening in London at the end of November when overall winners will be announced.
PATIENTS AGED 65 AND OVER:
INFLUENZA VACCINATION
This year NHS England provided new guidance for Vaccination in those aged over 65. They have recommendedanalternativefluvaccine. ThisistheadjuvantedtrivalentinactivatedfluvaccineFluad®: Seqirus.
This change in vaccine supply has meant a lot of practices have not had adequate supply, but we are pleased to report that we have adequate supply and have enough vaccines reserved for ALL of our eligible patients.
This vaccine supply has been different to our usual supply. Vaccines are being delivered in staged deliveries to all Surgeries during the first weeks of September, October and November. This means there will be staggered clinics over the next 3 months, and we will have a selection of pre-bookable and walk-in clinics available throughout September, October and November.
PATIENTS AGED 18 to 64 years
All Flu vaccines for eligible patients aged 18 to 64 years are in stock at the Practice and patients are invited to book appointments NOW. (Eligible patients are in at risk groups including respiratory diseases, heart, kidney or liver problems, Diabetes, pregnant, immunocompromised or Carers.)
We hope you will support the Practice and attend the Abbeyview Surgery for your Influenza Vaccination this year.
