An Evening of
Chamber Music
An initiative to showcase the extraordinary
Music
amount of extra-curricular work completed
by the students at Millfield, the Evening of
Chamber Music featured a series of outstanding
performances from our thriving Chamber Music
programme. From Double Bass Quartets to
Harp Trios, and Horn Quartets to Piano Trios,
this evening really did have something for
everyone. Each ensemble showcased a variety
of integral performance skills including listening
to one another and working as a team in order
to provide the audience with the intimate
experience of chamber music. The standard of
which was so high that it comes as no surprise
that several of our chamber ensembles reached
the semi-final of the national chamber music
competition ‘Pro Corda’, in addition to their
victory in the Mid-Somerset Festival.
