Otherwordly visit

Once again, this year we welcomed pupils
from Elmhurst Junior School to MIllfied. During
the MA and Other Postgraduates Exhibition
in March Year Six pupils visited the gallery to
view the exhibition and make some drawings
from them. The Year Six pupils also came up in
2 groups to visit the ‘Otherworldly’ exhibition
and made sketches outside from the sculptures.
Lower Sixth Millfield pupils supported them
in drawing directly from the sculptures and
working with tone in order to make their
drawings look 3 dimensional. Working with a
variety of media pupils explored different mark
making skills and attempted to recreate their
favourite sculpture.
