After the October half-term we welcomed
former Head of Department Leonard Green to
the Atkinson Gallery. His body of work, entitled
‘Coming Home’, had been produced over the
last 5 years and reflects Green’s interests in
abstract art and in music as a seminal element
in making art. His paintings are energetic,
colourful and dynamic and are inspired by the
movements of dance and swimming. Len also
gave a talk to the art scholars about his current
practice and the exhibition.
