Housed in a stunning purpose-built department,
Music
the Music School at Millfield is one of the
largest in the UK with world-class facilities.
This, combined with outstanding teaching staff,
provides exceptional specialist provision for our
young musicians both in practical music making
and in the classroom. Our state-of-the-art
facilities include:

• 350-seat concert hall
• Recital foyer
• Over 30 dedicated teaching and practice
rooms
• Two professional standard recording studios
• Five fully integrated Mac teaching suites
• Specialist percussion room
• Outstanding collection of instruments, Youth Orchestra and National Youth Choir, and
including a Steinway Model D Concert Grand a number go on to read Music at university.

We are exceptionally proud of our musicians’ training, often with scholarships, at highly-
achievements in this wonderful arena. Many prestigious institutions such as Curtis Institute,
have secured places at major conservatoires Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music,
and with national orchestras, choirs and musical Royal Northern College of Music, Oxford and
theatre companies, including the National Cambridge University.
