Honours
OM Helen Glover was awarded an OBE in the New
Year’s Honours for services to rowing (previously
received an MBE in 2013). Emma Dagnes received
an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for her
outstanding commitment to heritage.

Rugby Achievements
OM Huw Jones was selected for the British & Irish
Lions for the 2025 Lions Rugby Union Tour. Henry
Thomas, Josh Bayliss, Huw Jones, George Timmins,
Ioan Emanuel and Steffan Emanuel were selected
for the 2025 Six Nations. Steffan Emanuel made
his Cardiff Rugby debut whilst Ieuan Davies made
his debut for Bath. Ewan Richards and Ciaran
04 Donoghue helped Bath Rugby win the Premiership
Rugby Cup, with Ewan as captain. Max Denmark
was part of the winning team with Hong Kong
China Rugby, at the Hong Kong 7s.

Sporting Challenges
OM Jessica Oliver broke multiple world records in
ocean rowing. Paris Norriss and James Elliot Square
completed the World Marathon Challenge and
shattered the world record.

Sporting Achievements
Lando Norris had an outstanding year with
multiple Grand Prix wins in Formula 1. Becky
Manton made her debut for England Hockey. In
golf, Mimi Rhodes won on the Ladies European
Tour in her first year as a pro and Javier Calles
Roman secured his first professional title at the
2025 Lacanau Alps Open. Mohammed Elshorbagy
won two titles in the 2024/25 PSA Squash Tour
season. In cricket, Archie Vaughan was selected as
captain of England U19 Cricket, Aman Rao signed
05 professionally with Gloucestershire County Cricket
06 Club and Daniel Bell-Drummond was named
Kent’s Players’ Player of the Year.

Stuart Rushmere represented GB Hockey at the
EuroHockey Championships in August 2025.

Arts
Rose Leslie starred in a new TV series, The Hack,
and theatrical play, The Constant Wife. Arthur
Lok and Tom Day, co-founders of the production
company We Go Again, directed and produced
Battle of the Baddest. The film was Netflix’s top-
grossing title during its opening week.
