A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

THIS IS MY COMPILATION OF a variety of legends, tales, and local stories
from the state of Mississippi. I find every single one of them intriguing, as well

as spooky, and hope you, the reader, enjoy this. I personally am not a Mississippi

native, having been born in Arkansas. However, my mother was born in Biloxi,
MS. I have always enjoyed a good folk tale, horror story, or local legend, and

find that Mississippi holds the most interesting of all the states. This I know is
my own personal opinion.
