A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

Their interest is more than reporting news, events, opinions and

controversies. Their interest is a transparent government
responsible to the people. For this they are to function without fear

of reprisal, restraint or expectations of their reporting. The media
should not play favorites – they should be fair, without bias. Media

bias misinforms the people and causes undue influence. As a
continuation, they are the eyes, ears and mouth to the people.

Similar to a militia, they are armed with the freedom to request
information, follow the activities of our three branches of

government and inquire in detail to the people. How they do that,
and if they are wholly unbiased and truthful are only up to the

discerning intellect of the press observer. Because we are human,
we have natural of biases based on our individuality. However, truly,

without the press, we would only have the information the
government wants us to have, and would not be able to disseminate

any information not approved by the government. Accordingly, the
collective press holds a powerful position in our free society, and

holds substantial influence of the people and their thought
processes. The press must be as transparent, unrestrained and

unbiased as the expectations they have of the government. There is
no excuse; in fact it is insulting, for the media and quasi-media

(bloggers) to present biases and their agenda. For bloggers, it is
expected – those are opinions, except when presented as reporting

                   versus editorializing.

                       Freedom of Peaceful Assembly
The Freedom of Peaceful Assembly is as much a foundation to
our check on and grievances and redress of government, as Speech
