On the issue of our Constitution, the oath of office and is voter
eligibility. Every person that qualifies should register to vote – and
vote! It is the most underused right, and the most abused. Of all
the laws Congress does pass, they will not pass a national voter
identification law. Any reasonable person can understand why this
is necessary. What any reasonable person does not understand is
why more states do not pass the same law, and when a state does –
why does the federal government sue the state for an injunction to
prevent enforcement of a voter identification law. Arguments
against an identification requirement include it is the equivalent of
the old poll tax, or that getting an identification may be too costly or
an inconvenience. Many states will waive the identification fee. If a
person can get to a store for necessities, doctor appointments, or
taxpayer funded public assistance appointments – they can surely
find a way to have the identification needed to cash checks, buy
alcohol and cigarettes, be lawfully employed or collect unearned
taxpayer funded government handouts, etc. Any claims that having
identification is an onerous burden is unadulterated bullshit.
Moreover, identification is required to register to vote – it only
stands to a reasonable certainty that the same identification will be
handy when going to the polling station.
Our first duty to defending our Constitution is to not elect any
anti-Constitutionalists. There are enough in public office to have
caused the significant damage experienced under a socialist
president and Congressional leadership. A Patriot is someone who,
