Ownership by exhibitors is not required. However, in cases where exhibitors do not own the
animal, a certificate of training and fitting from the owner is required at entry time.

If an exhibitor has more than one entry per class, another junior exhibitor must show the
additional animals. Adults are not eligible to show.

Livestock must be halter broken. Steers must be dehorned. Unruly animals, which may
endanger the safety of the exhibitors, will be asked to leave the ring.

Classes will be announced on the day of the show.
Steers will be shown immediately following the Heifer Show.

A Grand and Reserve Champions will be picked from the Heifer and Steer class winners.

BEEF CATTLE SHOWMANSHIP

Competition is open to all North Carolina residents. Adults may register during check in
times.
No Cloverbuds (ages 5-8) may participate in the Beef Showmanship events.

Each exhibitor is eligible to enter only one animal in this class and must register.

Competition Classes: Junior – ages 9-10; Intermediate – ages 11-13; Senior –
ages 14-19 Adults – ages 20 and above.
