The above figure implies that one of the ways of finding a research topic is by doing
the following steps:

1. Choose a general issue of your interest to be used for starting point. In
choosing this, you may start from something that you are familiar with. It can

be the concept or issue that you have learnt. For instance, you might choose

“globalization”.

2. Test your proposed keyword by doing internet search. This will generate this

result showing that your topic is too broad and thus needs to be further
specified.
