Chinese medicine has used the pulse and the
tongue as a window to better understand what
is happening inside the body. Your ear has an
entire map of the body. When something goes
wrong in the body, for reasons we do not
understand, the body shows increased electrical
conductivity at the part of the ear that
corresponds to the part of the body that is
affected. There is a simple electronic device
that can pick up these changes in the ear as a
means of telling you something is wrong with
that tissue or organ.
In reference to treatment, for most effective
results the treatment must be designed to affect
the underlying problem. When this is a simple
problem in one organ, it may be relatively easy
to diagnose and treat. However, because of the
interdependence of the parts of the body, a
problem that begins in one organ can, over
time, begin to affect other organs in a domino
effect type of scenario. In these cases, all
tissues, organs and structures will need to be
addressed in order to get the patient well.
