               1.      ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

               We seek to highlight the centrality of teamwork, creativity, presentation skills, business acumen as well as

               the  value of taking a holistic and strategic approach to management.  The CharterQuest  Competency
               Framework for  grooming financially qualified business leaders  will guide  the judges’  evaluation  of the
               content of your presentation as below:

               2.      THE REQUIREMENT



               The  Board  had  thankfully  received  your  initial  report  (as  submitted  on  March  31,  2017)  and  your
               presentation at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).  Assume that today is March 31,  2018 and

               that  the  AMANGO  group  went  on  to  publish  its  2017  audited  annual  financials  in  February  2018
               (Appendix 2).


               An emergency meeting of the Board will take place in 3 hours. Your team has to prioritise and evaluate
               the strategic developments, including ethical issues affecting the group since then -and provide strategic
               advice. You are accordingly, required to produce and present such a report directly to the Board.

               Note:
               The next pages (pages 3-4) provide the background to the AMANGO group case study, before delving
               into the  new scenario  and issues  (pages  5-11)  you have  been tasked to resolve. Unless  otherwise

               updated by the new facts  that  now follow, all facts previously  availed about  the  AMANGO  Group Plc
               remain applicable. Please note that the five issues to be resolved are in many ways as interconnected as
               they  are  separate. You have a  duty to  independently  define  what the  problem or key  board decision
