Primary financial statements

6.1 Key points

The Board are currently debating a number of issues with regards to the primary
financial statements, such as:

 whether options that currently exist with regards to the presentation of incomes
and expenses in the statement of profit or loss should be removed

 whether additional subtotals, such as EBIT, should be required in the statement
of profit or loss

 whether options that currently exist for the presentation of certain cash flows in
the statement of cash flows should be removed

 providing guidance about the use and disclosure of performance measures.
