COMPLEX GROUPS

Composition of a group of entities

• A parent together with its subsidiaries and sub-

subsidiaries, if there are any, form a group of

entities. The following describes the different

possible compositions of a group of entities:

• Simple groups

• A simple group is a group consisting of a parent and a

single subsidiary.

• Complex groups

• A complex group is a group consisting of a parent and

more than one subsidiary. There are three types of

complex groups, namely horizontal, vertical and mixed
groups.
