               8.3   Lewin’s force field analysis

               Lewin visualised the change process in 3 steps:

                 Step 1:   Identify the restraining forces (for example, fear about job security)
                           and overcome them.




                 Step 2:   Implement the new system.  There may be driving forces for the
                           change (for example, system will improve organisational
                           performance).





                 Step 1:   Reinforce the new behaviour (for example, praise and reward
                           employees who embrace the new system).
