                            Graphs and Charts




               A graph or chart should be clear and unambiguous. In order to help to achieve this
               aim a number of rules should be followed:

                    give each graph or chart a name or a title

                    state the source of any data that has been used


                    state the units of measurement that have been used

                    give a scale so that the graph or chart can be properly interpreted

                    ensure that the presentation is neat

                    use a key to explain the contents


                    if axes are used, they should be properly labelled.
